This weekend...From the people who brought you Westin Bonaventure Los Angeles...Directed by Jerry Bruckheimer...or maybe the Aliens guy... comes...

Westin Bonaventure 2: Back Again For Some Reason

She's not a girl, but not yet a woman, living in an uptown world with a wind beneath her wings from a distance. For revenge. Of some kind. In a time when Los Angeles was where an acting school is. In a world where Linden wants to go there. One Linden (as mentioned above) will dare to achieve what no Linden has done before... and go back to Los Angeles.

Hooray for blog friends! It took me damn near a year, but I finally saw Bonnie Burton's appearance on the E! True Hollywood Story of The Real World. I'm so excited. Someone I know (well, online, vaguely, but still) is on of the television. Claps, Bonnie.

I have got to stop eating Ripple bars in the car. They're crumbly and then both me and the car end up covered in little chocolate melty spots.

I've been jamming out to my old Muppet Movie soundtrack. Sounds nerdy, huh? It is. Deal with it! See, I'm tough with a capital T-U-F-F. Don't mess with me when I'm listening to Kermit the Frog sing songs about rainbows. Seriously, don't. I'll mess you up.

The lyrics to one song called I'm Going Back There Someday are really pretty and I like them. So they's a-goin here:

This looks familiar, vaguely familiar,
Almost unreal, yet, it's too soon to feel yet.
Close to my soul, and yet so far away.
I'm going to go back there someday.

Sun rises, night falls, sometimes the sky calls.
Is that a song there, and do I belong there?
I've never been there, but I know the way.
I'm going to go back there someday.

Come and go with me, it's more fun to share,
We'll both be completely at home in midair.
We're flyin', not walkin', on featherless wings.
We can hold onto love like invisible strings.

There's not a word yet for old friends who've just met.
Part heaven, part space, or have I found my place?
You can just visit, but I plan to stay.
I'm going to go back there someday.
I'm going to go back there someday.

Shake
YOU ARE MASTER SHAKE -- A large, human-sized cup of
ice cream, Master Shake is a lazy bum with no
morals or values. He spends almost all of his
life watching movies on TV or relaxing in his
neighbor's pool. He enjoys torturing Meatwad,
lying, cheating, and generally causing trouble.
Liked by few, needed by none.

I've been reading up on my ancestors, chicky-peeps. Pirates, Indians, Russian Royalty... I have none of these. Don't be upset. For I have found something even more amazing. I found the story of a vibrant and colorful band of rogue travelers known simply as:

THE MENNONITES!

Thrill at the tales of a strict religious farming community! Gasp in astonishment at their staunch beliefs and old timey clothing! Bonnets on women! No bright colors for anyone! No smiling! Their history is shrouded in mystery. Why? They believed taking photos of themselves was vanity! Wow! Top that, descendents of Wild West cowboys!

Why, did you know the religion was formed under the leadership of a lively chap named Menno Simons? Did you know that one of his young, strapping upstart followers by the name of Jacob Amman decided the Mennonites were too accepting of the sins of the modern world (for example, the use of buttons instead of a metal hook-and-eye combination on coats and clothing) and left to start his own religion? That's right folks, the Mennonites gave birth to:

THE AMISH!

If you are interested in hearing more amazing tales of the Anabaptists, visit a website near you. I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to learn more about these intrepid, old-fashioned and most importantly, boring, boring people. *sigh* Safe to say I'm done with my brief stint into family history. From here on out I'm just going to focus on my vast humanitarian efforts in third world countries.

Yesterday I e-won the cool Orange-County-stylie No Doubt I've been lusting after. Hooray for me. Viva Le Ska! Oh, and I saw some Harry Potter prisoner something movie. It's a little obscure but I'm sure you can find it if you look hard enough. Maybe at an independent theater or somethin'.

My Mormon name is DaLinda LaDale!
What's yours?

Fate is a bastard. The Streets are kicking off their tour. When are they in Los Angeles? A week before I am. When do they play in Park City? The same damn week I'm in Los Angeles. See. Fate. A bastard.
